We went here for a friends birthday on Friday night. Had a reservation for four at 8 PM. We were there slightly before eight, and ended up having to wait until about 10 after four a table to open up. We did get a lovely table right next to the windows out overlooking the fountain. Fantastic view, and our waitress was wonderful. They have a great selection of food, some nice drinks, and wine list as well. The wine list isn't very extensive, but they do have some good selections, which aren't too overpriced. We started with a charcuterie tray, which was really good. It had the whipped goat cheese, which was fantastic with the local honey and some of the other accoutrements. I ended up having the scallops, and others in my party had Boursin encrusted fillet, the ribeye, and crabcakes and a salad. I also had a Bibb wedge salad to start, which was really good. For dessert, we got a carrot cake, which was really quite wonderful because the icing wasn't too overly sweet. The only issue that I had were the prices. I do understand farm to table is going to be more expensive, but this seemed excessive. All in all it was a wonderful meal, and I probably would go back. Might look at some of the lower end entrées next time, and there were some recommendations that we didn't get to try obviously.
The service was fast and fantastic for a packed Sunday crowd. I sat at the bar and Cody V was my server, he was courteous and helped me with the menu and my glass never ran dry. I had the prime rib sandwich and the smoked cheese curds all was delicious! The ambience was good with a great view of the course and the beautiful blue sky!
The service we received here was second to none! The manager of food and beverage came to our table to introduce herself & check on us! The ambience is very upscale. You definitely feel like you are in a special place. The star of the show is the food! Oh my! The menu is amazing! It was so difficult to choose! As an appetizer we got the whipped goat cheese & it blew us away!! I'm putting this restaurant on my list of REGULAR places to eat!!
Great atmosphere! We always enjoy our experience at Silo. Located adjoined to the golf course, there's a country club atmosphere (I think, I've never been a member of one) and the staff is always kind and professional. The interior is spacious and seems well lit no matter what time you go. We dined in for lunch and our server informed us they changed over their menu about a month ago so I was sure we would be trying something new to us. I went with the brioche short rib sandwich with a side of brussels sprouts. Certainly a quality meal but I wasn't blown away. The short rib was very nice and constructed similar to a burger patty but I wish the flavor was boosted. The flavor of the brussels sprouts was great but I found them hard and difficult to eat. I want to be clear that this is just my opinion of these two items and not a judgement of their food as a whole. Silo has a very nice drink menu with cocktail, beer, and wine options. Can't say enough about the great service here! We look forward to coming back to try their brunch next time.
Was super excited to come in to check this place out for lunch. I have tried getting a Sunday brunch reservation previously but they are typically booked solid so I had high hopes! Our server was nice and welcoming and the atmosphere was great as its location sits on beautiful land and the big windows allow for you to soak up the beauty of the surrounding area. I ordered the half Caesar salad with shrimp and French fries to eat. The salad was good the crispy anchovies were a great addition. (4/5). The French fries were fine but lacked a bit of flavor/seasoning(3.5/5). Overall I would say it was a good lunch but I would be more interested in coming back to check out the brunch options!
Silo is a beautifully constructed concept. I've only dined during brunch, so that's what I'll write about. The restaurant brags that their brunch dishes are made from scratch and I have no reason not to believe them. You'll choose from a menu full of hearty American breakfast classics that include three egg omelets, biscuits and gray, a B.E.L.T. sandwich (bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato,) Eggs Benedict, a braised pork hash and more. If you feeling more like an afternoon-inspired meal, the menu features lunch favorites like the Hangover Double Bacon Cheeseburger, Sunday Chicken and the Kansas Berkshire Pork Shoulder. A dessert and fruits buffet is available for an extra charge. Mimosas, Bloody Marys and other adult beverages are, too. One small note: the restaurant layout looks great, however when it fills up - and it will - the sound will bounce around the high ceilings and get loud. Please beware if you're dining with anybody who may have sound-influenced issues.
There was plenty of parking available in front. It is a pretty building and view to pull up to. We were greeted and taken to our private room and deck area right away. They made up a signature margarita which was quite tasty and it was a relaxing place on the deck facing the pond and water feature. It was a more intimate area to relax and enjoy. There was a delay in placing the appetizers and after the initial round of drinks being delivered to people they were placed on the table by the food. The Caesar salad was interesting with full leaves, the dressing was good. I had the dish with 3 different chickens, I enjoyed the chicken salad the most of the 3 options. The servers were great. I enjoyed the raspberry sorbet as the dairy free option for dessert.
We brought a large group here and the Silo crew absolutely delivered. The team kept up with our drink ordered no problem, they had plenty of appetizers for us to pick from, and the dinner was delicious. The facility is also gorgeous. We we on the patio (in March) and they had plenty of heaters to keep us warm. We had to turn most of them off because the space is so comfortable. Great location, great food, great service!
